0-5 Alive! what a day we had! What a day we had yesterday at Deep restaurant with Amanda’s fabulous new 0-5 Alive! family concept of an exciting, activity extravaganza for children aged 0 to 5 years (and their families of course).  It was a fun-filled few hours with so much going on by the Thames (at Deep Restaurant) and everybody enjoyed it so much - with lots of the children (and parents too) wishing it would never end!  But of course like all lovely days - it just had to.

Everybody went away with their own special memories of the day and Amanda’s captured all the various goings-on, with video and photographs and will be sharing that with you on her website as soon as everything is tidied-up.

This was Amanda’s first 0-5 Alive! event - and she intends to run a series of them at high-class venues throughout London. Yesterday she identified activities that worked-well and were well received, as well as those that required a bit more thought from her and her team and she’s going to be fine-tuning all of it for the next 0-5 Alive! event which will be held at Fulham Football ground on Saturday 31st May 2008.  For those of you who loved the Deep event, make sure that you get yourself along to Craven Cottage, Fulham…and don’t forget to tell your friends how ‘fab’ it was.  I can’t wait for the next one!

Mark Owen pops-in to Amanda’s class at Wandsworth with his offspring! All those of you who are fans of that lovely Mark Owen of Take That will no doubt recall that he reached number three in the UK charts with his debut single, “Child” in 1996. What you may not know is that Mark now has a child of his own (18 month old Elwood Jack Owen) and Amanda was thrilled today when they both turned up to Amanda’s class in Wandsworth.   Don’t know what Mark made of it all but Elwood appeared to enjoy himself enormously:  let’s hope we see them again soon.

PS: if you want to find out more about what Mark’s up to these days - then have a peek at the Mark Owen official website.

I’ll be doing all the funky stuff that I am known for - the music, dancing and unique props, but there are some extra special treats in store at Deep. For the boys, an acrobatic break dancing Spiderman will swing into action, and for the girls they can enjoy being pampered with hairstyling, make up and manicures. All this plus face painting and balloon modelling. Its going to be mad !  Don’t worry I haven’t forgotten the mums, whilst all this is happening you can enjoy a manicure, mini pedicure, make up session or back massage.

It all takes place between 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at DEEP, The Boulevard, Imperial Wharf, Chelsea, London. SW6 2UB. Telephone number:  020 7736 3337.

Amanda x

‘paid’ wristbands - Childsplay Cafe, Chiswick
A quick ‘heads-up’ for all those of you who regularly go along to Amanda’s super session at Childsplay Cafe in Chiswick on Wednesday afternoons (and also for the interest of anybody who’s not yet been along, but might be thinking of going) - just need to let you know about a slight change to the previous ”payment on the door policy” that affects Amanda’s class.

It used to be that when you went to Childsplay Cafe at The Hogarth Youth and Community Centre, (end of Duke Road) W4 2JR  - you used to have to make a payment to get into the Centre and you didn’t have to pay any more to attend Amanda’s class.  Well now as a result of a change of policy by Childsplay Cafe, as of last week, that has all changed (whilst Amanda was away on holiday).

How it’ll work now, is that you’ll need to make the payment for Amanda’s class directly to Amanda. So please pay Amanda on arrival and she will issue you with a “paid” wristband to wear throughout the class. Only those who are demonstrably wearing the “paid” wristband will be able to enjoy Amanda’s class.  So please be patient with Amanda as she tries to get everybody (including herself) used to the new payment policy.

NB: Amanda’s class is every Wednesday at Childsplay Cafe from 4:00pm - 4:45pm and is for children of Under 5 years of age: payment is £5 per child or £8 for a ‘family’ of 2 children. You can check out a full list of all of Amanda’s classes  on the Find Out About Classes page of her website.
