Today is Saturday, May 17th 2008

Saturday 31st May 2008 between 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the historic football venue of Craven Cottage, Stevenage Road, London, SW6 6HH.Inspirational Amanda Frolich, of Amanda’s Action Kids,  is organising a dynamic family event at Craven Cottage on Saturday 31st May 2008 between 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the historic football home of Fulham FC, Stevenage Road, London, SW6 6HH. (..and as Fulham miraculously managed to avoid the ‘drop’  it’s still going to be a Premier place to be - well done to Roy and the lads!)

Amanda said: “I decided to create a unique party atmosphere of fun-filled activities to help families reconnect and get re-energised. Too often, in my work, I see young families struggle with every day pressures of work and balancing family life, that’s why I think it’s important to take time out of our hectic lives and reconnect as a family. I’ve designed the events with something for all the family in mind. There are areas dedicated to relaxation to help parents unwind, action packed activities for little ones and sessions to encourage families to exercise together for a fit and healthy lifestyle through simple dance routines. It’s a great way for parents to de-stress and relax and re-energise and discover fun with their little-ones.”

0-5 Alive! what a day we had! What a day we had yesterday at Deep restaurant with Amanda’s fabulous new 0-5 Alive! family concept of an exciting, activity extravaganza for children aged 0 to 5 years (and their families of course).  It was a fun-filled few hours with so much going on by the Thames (at Deep Restaurant) and everybody enjoyed it so much - with lots of the children (and parents too) wishing it would never end!  But of course like all lovely days - it just had to.

Everybody went away with their own special memories of the day and Amanda’s captured all the various goings-on, with video and photographs and will be sharing that with you on her website as soon as everything is tidied-up.

This was Amanda’s first 0-5 Alive! event - and she intends to run a series of them at high-class venues throughout London. Yesterday she identified activities that worked-well and were well received, as well as those that required a bit more thought from her and her team and she’s going to be fine-tuning all of it for the next 0-5 Alive! event which will be held at Fulham Football ground on Saturday 31st May 2008.  For those of you who loved the Deep event, make sure that you get yourself along to Craven Cottage, Fulham…and don’t forget to tell your friends how ‘fab’ it was.  I can’t wait for the next one!

Fantastic Family Fun at Deep with 0 - 5 Alive!Hi everyone! I know we’ve already posted a note about this - BUT - I just couldn’t resist just telling you all personally about my exciting new event 0-5 Alive!  I have joined forces with the stunning Chelsea restaurant DEEP for an activity extravaganza for the under 5s. Deep is where Gordon Ramsay filmed his TV show “The F- Word”, although the only ‘F’ words I’ll be using are Fantastic Family Fun ! What a great location !  I am really excited about this one - as I’m sure you can tell.

So, put Sunday 27th April in your diary!  You can drive straight in to Deep as there is car parking available - you need to use their underground car park.  It costs £4 for the day.  If in doubt of any of the arrangements for which Deep have a responsibility their contact telephone number is:  020 7736 3337.

I’ll be doing all the funky stuff that I am known for - the music, dancing and unique props, but there are some extra special treats in store at Deep. For the boys, an acrobatic break dancing Spiderman will swing into action, and for the girls they can enjoy being pampered with hairstyling, make up and manicures. All this plus face painting and balloon modelling. Its going to be mad !  Don’t worry I haven’t forgotten the mums, whilst all this is happening you can enjoy a manicure, mini pedicure, make up session or back massage.

It all takes place between 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at DEEP, The Boulevard, Imperial Wharf, Chelsea, London. SW6 2UB. Telephone number:  020 7736 3337.

I really do hope you can make it and look forward to seeing you there in person - it’s going to be fffffffffaaabulous!

Action Clubs are fun..Often, people who know Amanda, wonder how she manages to keep all those ‘balls in the air’ at the same  time.  And if you have a look at Amanda’s classes timetable you’ll see that there are at least 16 different classes going on each week - as well as the children’s parties throughout the London area.  As you can imagine, that requires a small corps of part-time dedicated ‘helpers’ to keep the Amanda show on the road, day by day, and to help her cope with any unforeseen eventualities - you know, like sickness, holidays and ‘real-life’ things like that!

Well Amanda’s now at the point where she’s looking to add to her pool of talented part-time helpers in and around London.  So if you’ve ever been to an Amanda class or an Amanda party and thought, “that looks fun” why not consider whether it’s something you’d like to get involved in?

Typically, you’d need to be able to fill-in on an ad hoc basis for some of Amanda’s classes and /or parties, to cover both planned and unplanned absences and also you’d need :

  • self-employed status
  • a driving licence and ready access to your own vehicle
  • some free-time in the mornings during school time (for classes support)
  • some free-time at weekends (for party support)
  • an interest and aptitude for children’s activities and entertaining
  • a very flexible approach to being called in at short notice (sometimes)

If you think this is something you might be interested in (on an ad hoc, part-time basis) why not give Amanda a call on 07946 707 695.

Everbody knows that Amanda gives the best children’s parties in London  don’t they - and this time, apart from Amanda’s usual rumbustiously, enthusiastic, performance the running order will be as follows:

  • The party will begin at 11:00am with Robert (the balloon man) meeting and greeting the children with balloons, supported by…
  • face painter, Claire

The youngest member is 10 years old and the oldest is 20)
  • Amanda will of course be entertaining too.

We will then stop for a break at 12:15pm, soft drinks will be provided for the children and adults and you can also then purchase food from Deep.  A special kids and adults menu will be on offer.  You can email Kirsten at Deep if you need more info on the food. The adults will need to buy this food separately and additional to the entrance price!

After lunch at 1:00pm we will kick-off with more entertainment and a ‘goody bag’ for all the children will be included when we close at 2:0pm.

Balloon Man - ‘wobigon’When Amanda has one of her  Xmas Parties - she really pushes the boat out. This year it was full-tilt again as she played host to 93 children at Chiswick Town Hall on Monday 10th December.  There was all sorts of goings-on with party treats, and entertainment from a bouncy-castle, break-dancing-spiderman (well you gotta’ have one of them!) a clown, a balloon man and a face-painter…(phew) … and then of course there was Amanda’s own special brand of activity and music mayhem.   If you missed it this year - don’t worry ‘cos there’ll another along about this time next year!
