What a great event! Amanda and her team have just finished a wonderful day performing at the Gambado Children’s Party in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Theatre for Theatres appeal.

Peppa Pig was there to meet the children but she was outshone by Amanda’s Action Club performers Will Baki and Ricardo. Will busted some outrageous breakdance moves, much to the delight of all the watching children. Then Ricardo sang the hit song, ‘Billionaire’ and brought the house down.

Amanda, of course, was her usual amazing, effervescent self. She even had time to cuddle up to It-girl Tamara Beckwith. All in a day’s work!

Many pounds were raised for the ultra-important appeal and everyone had a great time – that’s what we call a win-win situation.

Amanda’s Action Club is celebrating Halloween in grand style this year with a spooky family extravaganza at London’s Clapham Grand.

This October 29th from 2-5pm we’re putting on a big show (sponsored by Peter Rabbit Organics) with something for everyone from tiny tots to teenagers and mums and dads too.

Amanda will be doing a spooked-up version of her fun, fitness and music sessions for the little ones. Then Will Baki, professional breakdancer will show the kids how to bust some serious dance moves. Also there’ll be Zumba sessions for the mums and the kids and a grand finale featuring Jovanny, the UK’s no.1 Michael Jackson impersonator!

All this and yummy food by Fait Maison. Check out the flyer below for more information. You can book your tickets now easily online.

Amanda’s Family Extravaganza in Dubai has just been blown open to the public at large. What was booked as a party in a private member’s club will now be held as a free, public event in the atrium of the Dubai Marina Mall!

It’s a good job Amanda has some game assistants to help her on the day (October 22nd).

Amanda’s upcoming trip to Dubai is sparking ever more interest by the day. What was to be a leisurely opportunity to meet a few people and see the lie of the land has now become an action-packed week. And that’s just the way Amanda likes it.

If you’re in Dubai on the 22nd of October please do come to the Marina Mall and say ‘Hi!’. It should be a great event.

Amanda is putting on a special Family Halloween Extravaganza this year! Think family fun, ghosts and ghouls and high-energy excitment for the whole family.

So save this date and time in your diaries now – Saturday, 29th October, from 2-5 pm.

The venue will be the recently revamped, historic  Clapham Grand which, thankfully, now has a brand new dance-floor.

On the day there’ll be Amanda herself and members of her team in full effect so expect breakdancing, Zumba, facepainting and the UK’s no.1 Michael Jackson impersonator! If that doesn’t put a candle in your pumpkin I don’t know what will!

Ticket prices and how to book will be announced very soon. Watch this Space!

The Gambado Play Centre in Chelsea will be hosting a spectacular, fundraising event on October 6th this year. Chock-full of exciting entertainments for young children (including the chance to meet Peppa Pig!) the party will be raising money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Theatre for Theatre’s appeal.

We’ll be there of course to make sure everyone is having the best time possible. Also there will be face painting, dodgem rides, climbing frame challenges and many, many more entertainers to keep your children stimulated and happy.

The party kicks off at 9 a.m and goes on until 2 pm.

Tickets are £40 for 1 adult + 1 child (and a further £10 for each additonal adult or child).

Please download and print a ticket application form and join us for the fundraising event of the year!

There’s a new app out for the Ipad that may just help fussy, young kids to eat better. It’s called Feed-Em Fred (The Chef of Dread) and it’s a really fun, interactive storybook app for young children (aged 3-7 yrs).

Feed-’Em Fred is first and foremost a delightful, funny story to share with your children. It’s beautifully illustrated with a rhyming verse that tells a larger-than-life story. Sound effects and interactivity add an extra element of interest along the way.

I love the fact that the story talks about food and fussiness in a way kids will enjoy and it’s moral is subtly presented (without finger-wagging) so kids can think about the issues in their own space and time.

We wish the story’s makers Digital Leaf luck and urge you all to check Feed-Em Fred out at the Istore if you have an Ipad. You won’t regret it.

We’ve mentioned before how excited Amanda is about Dubai as a place to offer her classes and parties. Now excitement over her planned trip to Dubai this October just got bigger as three more of her team just decided to join her.

Professional breakdancers Will and Tim as well as Zumba instructor Fu Lin have all agreed to join Amanda in Dubai from 19th-26 October. Now Amanda’s Action Club are sure to make a big impression at the taster sessions they’ve been invited to out there.

If anyone should happen to be over in Dubai during half term please drop in and see Amanda at the ‘My Favourite Things’ private members club in Dubai Marina Mall on the 22nd October. She’ll certainly be glad to see a familiar face or two.

Amanda had a very exciting lunch today with a particularly inspiring lady.

The woman in question is Kathryn Mewes, a new breed of children’s nanny. She’s what the yellow pages would call a ‘bespoke nanny’.

Kathryn typically enters a family home for up to 72 hours and gets busy making changes. She helps children from 6 months to 12 years with all manner of issues from sleeping and eating problems to basic, poor discipline and gets very positive results.

Children are a joy when you guide them to make the correct choices which benefit the entire family.” Says Kathryn.

Amanda was so taken with Kathryn that she wants to do everything she can to promote her. Their values are uncannily alike and they are both equally passionate about improving family life.

In a nutshell, choosing a healthy lifestyle in a fun and practical way is what Amanda and Kathryn both think Life is all about.

Get your diaries out, people, because Amanda’s organized another of her famous Extravaganzas this August. This one will be extra special as it’s in the elegant surroundings of the luxury Hotel Rafayel on the Left Bank, Battersea.

There’ll be all the usual fun and games of an Amanda’s Action Club session as well as face-painting and a breakdancing workshop from expert dance instructor Will Baki.  All this followed by a delicious BBQ on the Japanese Terrace.

There’ll be so much going on to give kids an exciting Sunday morning as well as a chance for parents to relax too. Tickets are selling fast so if you want to come along contact sherry.murray@hotelrafayel.com to book your place.

Amanda's back to full fitnessThat’s right. Amanda has a clean bill of health and is back in the thick of things – hosting parties and classes again.

‘It’s so great to be back’, says Amanda. ‘I missed being in the thick of it at the parties and classes so much. But most of all I missed all those smiling, little faces’.

The doctor says it’s miraculous how quickly she’s healed.

Apparently a bone heals back stronger than it was before so we’re wondering if Amanda might find a whole other gear – now that would be something.  Come down to one of her classes soon to see for yourself.
